What mass transit do I take to go to UCI from LAX?

Hello all, I need to commute to the main UC Irvine campus for work. I can start at LAX or the Fox Hills Mall. I would like to take mass transit instead of being stuck on the 405. I tried the the metro trip planner, but that doesn't help at all. If anybody takes the bus or train to UCI, I would like to know what you take. Thanks!|||well from Lax and Fox Hills mall you could


take the Metro 439 bus(it services both) into downtown Los Angeles


(Union station)


then take metrolink train (Or Amtrak))to the Santa Ana station


then board OCTA Line 59 to UCI


if you buy a Metrolink pass it will be valid on the 439


(expect for a small freeway surcharge) as well


as OCTA bus as well as the train..as well as Amtrak too!





but if you commute that far check with UCI transportation and parking they might have a van pool that might work out for


you)
