How do people learn how to take the mississauga transit so easily?

Lately I've found myself needing to take the bus to hangout with my friends since they live so far away, but i have no clue how to get from 1 place to another and back. The trip planner seems helpful, but im not sure what time i will be going places, so is there some sort of secret? Everyone seems to know how to use the transit easily.|||Hi Ron: Here is a website that might help you: www.mississauga.ca/portal/residents/publ鈥? It looks pretty straight forward. Good luck!

Anyone know a good road trip planning website or application?

I am moving from Boise ID to Tampa FL and my husband and I are going to be driving cross-country. Does anyone know any road trip planning websites, ipad applications, or planners? What are your suggestions for must see attractions!? I already know I want to see the grand canyon, I really want to make the most of it!

Thanks in advance!|||AAA has a website. I would also suggest that if you are not a member that you joint if you are going to take a cross country trip in case your car breaks down. My daughter liked a salt mine, I think in Kansas, when she drove from Colorado to Tampa. AAA can also advise you on attractions if you contact them and have them do a triptik for you. I also recommend that you check out tripadvisor.com. My son drove from CA to Tampa a few months ago and they told him about attractions, places to stay and good restaurants.

Help with planning a road trip?

Next year I will be driving from North Carolina to Washington. I would like to have my trip preplanned, including overnight stops and maybe some sight seeing along the way. Road Trip! need ideas, terrible planner?

My daughter's 16 and for her spring break i want to take her for a little mother daughter road trip. we live in central NJ and she has 2 weeks starting in the beginning of march. I've been looking in traveling books, but i am absolutely hopeless! i was thinking about going down to Delaware through baltimore virginia NC and SC then stopping in Savannah GA. I need a lot of input- like where to stop and stay and eat! also, will it be too much for 2 weeks? it needs to be really fun, because my little rebel teen is hard to please! we have a terrible relationship so i hope this trip will make her happier. she loves nature and cute small towns will probably be a plus.|||Make sure you go on the Chesabee Bay Bridge going into Virginia. If you eat seafood the crabs are great.|||bring some food money something to do like books, buy a gps and visit the capital and maybe u can book a tour in savannah by horse and buggy

I've tried mapquest and rand mcnally but both of those limit the number of destinations you can plan for. Are there any similar sites that allow you to put at least 15 major stops in? I've got 17 possibly more and I don't want to spread that into two different trip plans.|||The AAA on-line TripTik should let you do that. Im going on a 500mile walk. Is there a trip planner can create checkpoints along a chosen route every 45miles?

I picked a walking route on Google (not the quickest route from point A to point B), and I want to map out where I will be every 45 miles (the distance I plan to walk per day). What is the easiest way to do this?|||An average of 35 mile is not realistic. 35 km is already on the high side for an average, that is just under 22 mile. That is for good roads and little elevation, little luggage and a good walker.

Maybe you are a super human that can do what is almost unknown, but you will need to walk more than a few separate days of many miles before you can be certain about your daily distance.

In Google maps you can make your own map. Just measure your daily expected distance and put markers there. Keep the map on one level of zoom and measure in inches.

Or you can use an old fashioned paper map of the area and use a ruler or compasses.|||There is no easy way and you can't just choose an arbitrary distance like 45 miles because you'll end up stopping in the middle of nowhere.

You have to actually put some thought into it and look for logical places to stop where you won't get mugged and robbed, can find supplies, a hotel (or at least a bus station) to sleep in or if you're planning on camping somewhere that isn't surrounded by private property so you can pitch a tent without getting poked in the nose with a shotgun in the middle of the night.

Have you ever walked 45 miles in a day? I've done it a few times and it's not that easy even when you aren't trying to do it 11 days in a row.|||on google earth

Alska trip planner need suggestions?

Hi - We are arriving in alaska on 5/22 (night) and leaving on 5/26 (morning)

I am thinking of doing anchorage - Seward - Kenai roundtrip on 5/23.

Then I want to do 5/24 to 5/26 to Denali:

I have 2 options: Take the train from ANC to Denali to Fairbanks from 8/24 overnight in denali on 5/24, leave afternoon to Fairbanks on 5/25

and from fairbanks to home on 5/26?

Option 2: Rent a car and drive from Anchorage to Denali on 5/24, spend 2 nights in denali and then drive back to Anchorage on 5/26 and then take return.

Does option 1 give me sufficient time in Denali?

Or is thre any other thing you will like to suggest?|||How did this end up in Boston? We're at the opposite end of the continent!|||I would take option 2 only because you have such an insanely short time to cover a huge amount of space:

India (Mumbai) to Europe (Vienna, London, Paris, Sweden/ Switzerland) trip planner help for my parents needed.?

I am planning a trip for my parents. They live in Mumbai, India, and want to do a spot of site seeing in Europe in Oct sometime this year, 2010 before heading to the USA (Phoenix, AZ). Can you recommend some places to go?

They have friends in Vienna, and London, and can stay with them. So these places automatically go on the list! Where else is recommended? Paris maybe? Sweden/ Switzerland/ any others?

They are both vegetarians, speak fluent English (no Spanish/ french/ etc though). They'd like to relax, see some beautiful places, spend a few days in each place, and head to the USA (AZ) to visit us sometime in Nov/ Dec '10.

Can you pl recommend a travel plan from your experience? Also, what could be a good sequence to follow starting from Mumbai, ending at Phx, AZ? How long would you recommend in each place in Europe? Is there a guided tour that you can think of, my parents don't drive? What might be the cost?

Thank you very much in advance for your recommendations!|||You talk about cities (Vienna, London, Paris) and then you say Sweden/Switzerland. What do you mean? Are you aware those are 2 different countries far from each other?

Know of any good road trip planner software? Not the GPS kind, just want to schedule the stops and such.?

Going from PA to WA. Need a way to plan the trip in parts so that wife and I can put the next destination in our GPS (yes, they take very different routes). What I need the software to do for me is split the tips up into days for me..........for example, if I want to travel 500 miles per day it'll tell me where about I'll be at the end of day one and two and so on. That way, we can just meet at a specific hotel on the route etc........|||I prefer Microsoft Streets %26amp; Trips. I run my GPS, DeLorme Street Atlas, then pick apart the GPS route with Microsoft. Have you ever figured a trip planner out and stuck to it?

hubby and i are moving from CO to FL next month. i ran all of the numbers. how long it will take us to get from point a to point b, how many gallons of gas we will need to put in, which city has the cheapest gas on our route, what hotel is pet friendly for our dog and how many hours into our trip it will be before we finally reach that point. etc... i want to be as well prepared as possible. he says most likely we won't stick to it. i've got it set up to where we stop every 3-5 hours (depending on how far it is to the cheapest gas station)... i know that with my small bladder i can't so much as have a sip of water until 1-2 hours prior to our next gas/potty break. i know this. its a long trip though, and i'm willing to make the sacrafice (i love drinking water, lol). so what do you think? think we'll be able to stick to it?|||Yes I do !!!!!!!!!!!!! Try Best Western they are usually Pet friendly. We have traveled quiet often and we always planned our trip. You might want to stop every couple of hours instead of waiting to long. Also FRI riding for long periods of time with no movement can cause blood clots in the legs. Don't mean to scare you. But you need to stop often. Good luck.

Online Mapping and Trip Planner Application?

I have checked mapquest and such but I am wondering if there is a good application online that will not only allow me to map a route from one location to another and also allow me to break it into manageable chunks.

For example, if I wanted to map a route from Buffalo to Orlando I can do that with mapquest but if I wanted to break that into 8 hour driving days so that I can figure out where to stop it won't allow me to do that other then by trial and error.

Where can I find something to organize a road trip? Like a road trip planner...?

If you have Microsoft Works Task Launcher on your computer (it should be under programs on your start menu) you can use that. Once you click on Microsoft Works Task Launcher, click on templates (which is at the top), once you click on templates, there should be a list of categories on the left side of the screen. One of the categories is "Travel", click on it . Then it will show you all of these things you can do. One of these things you can do is "Travel Planning Tools", click that. once you have clicked that you will see that there a bunch of things you can do like make a checklist, estimate travel budget, make an itinerary, etc...

Free online road trip planner?

I am taking a road trip with my best friend in April. We are starting in the northeast and want to head down the east coast south. We are not sure where exactly to stop/see on the way. We have some ideas in mind, but it's more of a leisurely trip. 5-6 days of traveling total, ending back in the Northeast. We are bringing our tents and want to stay in hotels as LITTLE as possible to save money. We would like to camp on beaches along the way or wherever we can for free or cheap. I am looking for a user friendly online road trip planner. I have tried Tripit.com, mapquest, roadtrip America etc. None of these is what I need. I want something that HELPS me and makes it easy. Anyone have ideas?|||JaneMullins probably gave a valid answer. For all you're asking, you'll probably need to do it yourself. The websites that help you find driving distances and times will not help you find campgrounds. Likewise, camping websites won't tell you distances between points. If you visit a truckstop or camping store, you can probably find books that list campgrounds, then use Mapquest or something to find the driving distances/times.|||Just buy a map
