What is the best way for a visitor to Dublin to get to/from Giant's Causeway in a single day?

I am considering a trip to Dublin in the near future and would love to visit Giant's Causeway. I do not plan on getting a car. I have seen guide books which give directions from Belfast, but there do not appear to be any trip planners that outline a trip from Dublin. I don't know much about the trains or other services, and would love to get a better understanding of what my options are. Thanks!|||There are busses from Dublin to Belfast city centre, And the Belfast tourist office in Royal Avenue, Hold daily trips to the Giants Causeway via Coach.

Though you are talking 4-5 Hours driving each way, So not really realistic.|||The giant's causeway is too far to go from dublin in a day to be honest. your probably talking 4-5 hours minimum each way, if not longer.

Best bet for seeing the giants causeway is to spend a day in Belfast and go from there. Belfast is a lovely city with loads of history, both tragic and not.|||There are tour buses that do this trip! Just have at Google and you'll find them :) I suggest heading to Belfast for a day or two and doing it from there though. Belfast is such a great city to visit. So much history, and the Giant's Causeway is to die for.|||I did the 1 day tour from Dublin to the Giants Causeway it was definitely worth the trip! We had a good tour guide she knew a lot about the history and was really enthusiastic about the Irish culture!|||It's too long a trip for it to be just one day if you're not driving. I'd either give it a miss, or spend a night in Belfast.
