How should I arrange my bulletin board?

Actually I am rearranging my bulletin board and I want to make it as funky as possible. Earlier I had my pictures, pictures from school trip, a dumb poem[not by me], a planner, a greeting card from friend...blah blah blah. Now I have removed everything and there left is my year planner, a sticky note, a key ring from friend and a school notice. Its really boring.

I will add a picture of it in some time...

Can you people suggest some fancy ideas to make my bedroom opposite of dullest???|||well you could buy some cool fabric and put that over it or get some ribbon and put that in a crisscross pattern.

you could go on google images and search funky patterns and print a few of those off.

you could organise a day out fot you and your pals and get people to take photos of you,

you could try making some crafts yourself, or with your pals and you can have some of them up!!

just experiment and be yourself!! your space has to be original!!|||How about a fabric board with ribbons that you can slip pictures and notes behind? Check the link below for a picture and instructions.

You could make it as funky as you like pretty inexpensively with fabric and ribbon or trim from Hobby Lobby or Wal-Mart. The only tools are a staple gun and a hammer.

Best Florida city to spend a week with friends at a beach house?

ive got about 7 or 8 friends that want a senior trip and im pretty much the planner of the group. but i need some help picking a city, we live in georgia so driving isnt a problem. Vacation spots for teens?

My friends and I never got the chance to go on a senior trip this summer because of work and stuff. So we'd like to go in the spring. I'm the planner of the group, so I'm getting ideas now so I can start planning how much money we'll need and making our vaction folder and stuff.

Does anyone know any good vacation spots for a bunch of teenagers, hopefully somewhere warm?

Also, we're not partiers so we'd like somewhere that isn't a stereotypical "spring break" hotspot.

Thanks bunches!!!|||How about a nice church trip! Those are a great way to spend some fun time. |||Depends on what you're into... I've always liked Washington, DC. for a low-cost adventure. Lots of free stuff to see and do. Pleny of public trans and easy to navigate.

One day Mountain Biking considerations?

Equipment:

- personal clothing

- personal equipment

Menu planning:

- Menu planning considerations

- Menu planner

Leave no trace principles for Mountain biking.

During winter my Outdoor ed class will be going on a Mount Biking trip for one day and we have to fill out a planner before we leave.|||Mtn bike, helmet, gloves, shin guards, bmx shirt

shorts, shirt, socks, all terrain shoes or clothing suitable for the condition

watch, gps, first aid kit, head light, maps and compass

pbj sandwich, power bar, apple, water, more water

all in a camel-back light weight pack filled with, more water

Leave no trace mountain biking means stay on the mtn bike trail don't cut new ones bikes leave more trace then foot prints so it's almost an oxymoron. pack it in pack it out.

The planner should contain the start, who, what, where, when how and finish of your trip with emergency contact info.|||Chris' list was fantastic, and I would just add sunblock and sunglasses or goggles. Have fun!

For how long can you cancel and get refund? If possible?

Hello.

After paying for a vacation package at Walt Disney World, can you get a refund if you have to cancel your trip? If so, roughly how long do you have to cancel before you can't get your money back?

I've been to Disney several times, so I know its important to reserve early, but I've never been the vacation planner before.

Thanks a bunch! Points to the best/most detailed/accurate answer :)|||If you cancel at least 45 days before your arrival, you receive all of you money back. If you cancel 44 days or less before your arrival, Disney will charge a $200 cancellation fee. They changed this last year. They used to have tiered cancellation fees but no longer.

The deposit required to reserve the room is $200.|||You'd have to check and see what the cancellation terms are in the package you signed up for. Check the "fine print" or call them directly.

Such things are why it's a good idea to buy travel insurance.|||ask disney personnel. they know for sure.

New event planner needs help please?

I have been in charge to planning family trips and parties and brunches and other events, you name it I have done it. I finally decided to make a career out of it. Along with my sister we are starting our own event planning company, focussing mainly on social events. Any ideas out there on where we can find free information online. I am just looking for resources that may be available to us for free. Serious answers only please. Mostly trying to figure out what an event should be priced at. I mean how do you know what to charge for each event? Does it depend on how many people attending or, do I take a certain percentage of whats made...HHHEEELLLPPP?!?!|||hello. someone answered a question similar to this in the past the askers website was

How to plan leg trips in FSX?

How do you plan layovers at airports in flight simulator X in flight planner as an IFR plan?

I know if u land you can create another one but it resets the entire flight it loads again reseting everything on the flight can i just create a flight to another destinationvia IFR without making the game reload and load everything new?

thanks!|||If you land and complete an IFR flight plan, you can easily hit ALT to get the menu, press Flights and Flight Planner under that. Create a new flight plan from here, you probably have to modify your existing plan you just finished so select the origin (where you just landed) and your new destination and IFR or VFR and all that stuff. Hit Find Route and then OK, hit save and then say NO to if you want to be put at your departure airport and you will have a new flight plan in your exact location without it resetting. Takes 10 seconds to do and is easy.

Happy flying.|||What I do is, Make the the Airport you want to stop at a "Way Point."

About 100 Miles out stop talking to atc. Tune into the Atis. and Land on the runway.

Taxi to gate that's open. Park refuel. Then taxi out again. Take off Climb to the Set Alt.

Then land at the Last airport

On the set up you see the GPS Red line on the map Put your Mouse on it and move "Drag the red line."

Zoom in and you can move it over an Airport. Zoom in More you can line it up with the runway.

And Take off will fly the route Out of the Airport to the Next or last Airport.

Got it?

How to plan leg trips in FSX?

How do you plan layovers at airports in flight simulator X in flight planner as an IFR plan?

I chose start point then destination but within that i want to make an layover on my way to somewehere with the IFR planning. not just landing and cacelling IFR like i want to have layovers leg trips on my way somewhere part as an IFR plan

thanks!|||You can't. Just like real IFR flight plans, it's from the origin to the destination.

Once you land you have to create another one.

Happy flying.|||You cant sryy.

What is the best way for a visitor to Dublin to get to/from Giant's Causeway in a single day?

I am considering a trip to Dublin in the near future and would love to visit Giant's Causeway. I do not plan on getting a car. I have seen guide books which give directions from Belfast, but there do not appear to be any trip planners that outline a trip from Dublin. I don't know much about the trains or other services, and would love to get a better understanding of what my options are. Thanks!|||There are busses from Dublin to Belfast city centre, And the Belfast tourist office in Royal Avenue, Hold daily trips to the Giants Causeway via Coach.

Though you are talking 4-5 Hours driving each way, So not really realistic.|||The giant's causeway is too far to go from dublin in a day to be honest. your probably talking 4-5 hours minimum each way, if not longer.

Best bet for seeing the giants causeway is to spend a day in Belfast and go from there. Belfast is a lovely city with loads of history, both tragic and not.|||There are tour buses that do this trip! Just have at Google and you'll find them :) I suggest heading to Belfast for a day or two and doing it from there though. Belfast is such a great city to visit. So much history, and the Giant's Causeway is to die for.|||I did the 1 day tour from Dublin to the Giants Causeway it was definitely worth the trip! We had a good tour guide she knew a lot about the history and was really enthusiastic about the Irish culture!|||It's too long a trip for it to be just one day if you're not driving. I'd either give it a miss, or spend a night in Belfast.

What are two small reasons why students should have field trips.?

I'm on my 3rd main reasons for my persuasive essay planner. My 3rd reason is " It's better for the students to see what they're learning instead of reading about it in class." But I need 2 more reasons to back up the 3rd main reason. But it has to be relevant to that topic.|||To get the experience of what your teaching in class and see how thay live and act and to learn how they react in there life # 2 is to show students and take them somewhere thay mite never have experienced .|||It helps the class become friends. Planning a trip, need major help!?

My boyfriend and I are planning a romantic getaway, and we're having major issues with it.

One, we can't decide on a place to go, where to stay, what to do or ANYTHING.

So, I need YOUR help as a travel planner, of sorts.

Below I've listed ALL the details and limitations.

Come up with a location, hotel w/ rate per night, and one major activity in the area, with rough price ranges, PLEASE?!

Or, if you go for the more hideaway scene, like a cabin or something, just give me location and rate of the room per night.

Here's what I got:

-We live in Cincinnati, OH

-No more than 8 hour drive in ANY direction, preferably 6 hours, though.

-Budget $500-$700 MAXIMUM

-Leaving on September 17th, returning by September 20th 2010

-WE'RE NOT SPORTS FANS

Please take into consideration rental car and food costs.

Include links, please.|||http://www.hockinghills.com/hhcabins/

Ok...how can i get from los angeles to hesperia by means of public transportation??

i tried making one of those trip planners on MTA.org but...no dice, no dice....|||The bus line can get you there. So can Metrolink trains. Call MTA directly %26amp; speak to a representative about what bus numbers to take, where to make transfers, travel time %26amp; cost.

Metrolink will be a faster but a bit more costly to travel. Most trains run until like 8 or 9pm, or later. Below is their homepage in the source area.

If you can afford it, pay for a ticket on a Greyhound Bus. I've sourced their site as well.

Help with European vacation?

I am wanting to go to London and Paris next year in August with 2 friends. None of us have ever been to Europe... We would like to fly into London and stay there for 3 days and then take a train to Paris and spend 3 days there. Then we would fly back to the US from Paris. What is the best way to plan this trip? Are there any good websites/trip planners?? Any advice on how to book this trip (cheaply!) would be appreciated. Thanks!|||If you are full-time college students--look into Generation Fly, they offer GREAT discounts for students through Lufthansa Airlines.

STA Travel is also a great booking site for students.

If you are not a student, I would try lessno.com but be sure that no part of your flight-name, date, anything- will have to be changed after purchased, they charge a lot to get it changed.

|||kayak.com is pretty gud (as u may kno already book ur tickets as early as possible so u get the cheapest rates...u can also talk to a travel agent *with caution thow*)

and u can check out the eurorail.com too|||For airfare you might check out statravel.com which often has really good deals for students/people under 26.

There is so much to do in both Paris and London that you could easily fill up far more than a week in either city (in fact I'd recommend more than three days in each if you can afford it.) You might want to get a guidebook, or look up both cities on loneyplanet.com. If you're looking for cheap places to stay check out hostelworld.com or hostelbookers.com (unfortunately hotels ain't cheap in either city). On the bright side there's lots of interesting stuff to do...

Vacation planner for a project? help?

Ok for a project in geography we have to plan a vacation. We have a $10,000 budget. I need a flight from Venezuela to Brazil but cant find any prices on the internet. Can you estimate how much that would cost? Just a one way trip.

please and thank you|||I will say about $1000.00 for a plane ticket. Just search Venezuelan airports then go to that site and plug in imaginary dates for a flight to Brazil and submit it. It will tell you how much it costs. Then search Brazil, and find vacation spots and do the same thing. Print each page with the amounts on them for supporting your project. don't forget food, tipping, ground transportation, drinks...|||Go to travelocity.com... you'll need cities (airports, actually) in order to get the flight costs... countries won't do it for you.|||One way would be around $350|||A trip from Caracus, Venezuela to Sao Paulo, Brazil will cost around $1015.00 to $1125.00

When is the best time to travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico?

I want to take the hubby on a surprise trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Any suggestions on when the best time to travel there is? Best airlines, travel planner, etc..

Thanks to all that reply!!|||This is a matter of some debate. Puerto Rico has two seasons, and these follow the weather. The peak travel period is December to April, when Americans escaping the winter invade the island by boat- and planeloads. In this season, you鈥檒l pay the highest prices for hotels, and you鈥檇 be wise to reserve restaurants and activities in advance. The low season falls between May and November, and this is when travelers can find terrific deals on hotels, airfare, and vacation packages. Of course, June 1 to November 30 is also hurricane season. Have a look at this map http://www.thebeachfrontclub.com/beach-h鈥?/a> it might help you find the nice and beautiful hotels to stay|||I think the best time to travel is in summer and arriving to Puerto Rico at midday (although in Puerto Rico is always summer). If you arrive at midday you can go to any beach and look around in San Juan. I wrote a few articles about tourism activities in Puerto Rico in my blog (http://cheapallinclusivevacationpackage.com). You can also subscribe to receive via email free information about things to do in Puerto Rico. (http://cheapallinclusivevacationpackage.com)|||Skip June to November= HURRICANES!

I googled it its about 4.5 miles or so. To far to walk. Is there a bus I can take that gets me close? Or would taxi be best? They have payphones at the station right as I dont own a cell phone? Are bus times for the La metro reliable?

I will be going to La and taking the metro from my hotel to LAX. Be will be leaving at 6 am taking the 96 then transferring to the 42 in downtown LA. On trip planner it says we will get to LAX at 8:20. Is this a good estimate? Is the traffic bad at that time of the morning on a Thursday? We have to be at LAX by 9 to catch our flight, and i would hate to be caught in traffic on the bus, so if anyone could tell me how reliable the bus times are in traffic please let me know.|||Yes that time table is correct and it will get you to LAX at that time but why go the long / hard way - there are many options http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d%26amp;source=s鈥?/a> but the best way is Burbank to Union Station http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d%26amp;source=s鈥?/a> then jump on the Flyaway (they leave every 20 minutes) http://www.lawa.org/popup.aspx?id=304

Much safer time wise|||a faster way would be take metrolink to union station

then flyaway

as riding the 42 will take a hour since that's a local bus

plus riding the 96 bus which will also take another hour

since these are local

and then the 42 does not go into the terminal

it stops at the city bus terminal

where you have to change to the Lax parking lot C bus and sometime those

driver leave when they want to

the traffic could be bad if you are traveling on game day since 42 passed the coliseum and sports area

plus constructonon on flower for the expo line could force the bus to make detour|||The times are generally reliable, but they are always subject to traffic delays. If you're allowing 40 minutes extra, plus an hour at the airport, you should be OK.

I also suggest you look into Flyaway from Union Station, if your hotel offers a shuttle or you can get to the Metrolink.

What's the easiest way to get to Disneyland (Anaheim) by bus?

I'm thinking of going to Disneyland by bus. I'm coming from San Fernando Valley area (I'm not staying in any of the hotels in Anaheim).

Metro trip planner says to take the 460 bus and get off at Harbor/Disneyland East main. How far away is this stop from the park entrance (where you buy the tickets)?

Or is there an easier way to get to the park by bus? Preferably one that stops as close to the entrance as possible so I don't have to walk too far?|||The fastest way to get from SFV to Disneyland besides driving is to take the Flyway Bus from Van Nuys to LAX and then ride the Disneyland Resort Express bus to Disneyland. Total cost $29 each way. http://www.socalthemeparks.com/la-county鈥?/a>

Your other cheaper option is to ride the Metro Red Line from North Hollywood to Union Station. Then take Metro Bus 460 Express straight to Disneyland. Total cost less then $10

http://www.socalthemeparks.com/disneylan鈥?/a>

Amtrak does not go to Disneyland|||Contact Amtrak (www.amtrak.com) and find out from them (you'll probably want to call them) how to use the train to go to Disneyland. You'll want to take the train to LA Union Station from the Valley and not sure if they have one near you in the Valley where you would just continue to Anaheim, or if you have to change trains in Union Station. But call them. Once you get off the train, there are buses you'll have to use to get to the park. But call Amtrak.

Good luck.

Can I really ride a city bus for an hour?

I wanna visit friends at another town which is 15 miles away. So I figured I'd walk 5 miles to a bus stop, then go from there. I used the CDTA Trip Planner site, http://tripplanner.cdta.org/hastinfoweb/

I said from the stop, Crossgates Mid-Mall to Watervliet High School.

%26amp; it said I'd be riding the bus for 52 minutes! It said it'd make some stops at other places, too. But is that for real? Is the driver really gonna drive all over the place? Will he let me stay on that long? Will I have to pay extra?|||depends on the route sound it might be a local run

each bus line has a certrain route it will follow it may not go direct from

where you get pick up to where you are going (some they stop at

transit centers he wouldnt drive all over the place he will be followw the route that line takes

some routes can be 3 hours along (theres one like that in orange county

calfornia (starts in Long beach and go to San Clemete and entire route is 3 hours along and it does detour a little (to service some shoppping centers)

and driver dont really care how long you are on the bus unless the transit company has zones where you might have to pay more

as for paying extra the trip planner would have told you the fare

if its local route probally not UNless that traisnt company has zones

then maybe you will

How to get to blue line stop from Metra NCS stops near O'hare?

I have been racking my brains on how to get from Lake Villa (via NCS Metra train) to the blue line to take it into the city. The blue line let's off right by my work. Any sort of trip planner takes me into 2 hours of travel almost not to mention umpteen buses. I just want to take the NCS to the Blue line and walk to work. I know there is a shuttle from the O'Hare transfer stop to O'hare but I don't know how long it takes or if it is even close to the blue line.

Any help would be great.|||Here is a map of where the NCS ends near Higgins and Manheim...it is really close to the airport so it shouldnt take but 5 or 10 minutes to get to the o'hare L.

once you get on the L it is less than 50 min to downtown even if it hits every stop...many don't...some are express...

the "eL" IS the blue line...

just take the metra to the ohare transfer, hop on the NCS that picks you up there, take it to ohare and get on the blue line headed into the city...

How can I get to the Delta Meadowvale Resort in Missisauga from Toronto by TTC?

The hotel is the Delta Meadowvale Resort %26amp; Conference Centre @ 6750 Missisauga Rd.

On Friday, I will be able to take the TTC subway, but I'm not sure what route I could take. I will leave at 3pm from Sheppard-Yonge Station, need to be there by 5pm.

On Sunday, the subway doesn't start until 9am. I have to be at the hotel by 10am. What buses can I take to get there?

I checked the TTC website, they don't have anything, same with the trip planner. I can't call a taxi as it is really expensive. I'm not staying there the night, as I do not have an event on Saturday.|||During weekday rush hour, take the Milton Hwy 401 GO bus (route 27) from Yonge St/Sheppard Ave to Erin Mills Parkway/Mississauga Rd. On Sunday you would have to take the 320 Yonge Blue Night bus to Union Station, then the Milton GO bus (route 21).|||I find the trip planner etc pretty useless. I use Google maps - it has an excellent transit schedule built into it. It will let you choose your date and time and then offer up a number of options. It's usually spot on.

When you go to google maps, just put in where you want to go first, click get directions, then type in your address and hit the little bus icon. You will get a chance to insert the date and time you want. Click Get Directions and you'll be set. You can print out the directions. It will also give you rough time estimates.

Are either of these locations MARTA accessible?

128 Perimeter Center West.

Atlanta, GA 30346

or

1705 Mall Of Georgia Blvd.

Atlanta, GA 30519

Please do not answer with some retarded answer if you do NOT know. Meaning, don't say, "Visit marta.com and check to see." Yes, they do have a trip planner on their website - it barely works and isn't worth a crap. No matter what address you put into it, it has you walking half of a mile after buses and trains - and I've even tried addresses that I know are already accessible and it still says that.|||If by MARTA, you mean train...then the answer depends on how far you're willing to walk. The perimeter center address is about a mile from the Dunwoody MARTA station and a little more than a mile from the Sandy Springs MARTA station. Check www.itsmarta.com

How to move by train from WA to NJ?

I'm moving from Seattle, WA to Newart, NJ.

I have some luggage that is not enough for moving service but too much and expensive for airplane travel. I think train is perfect vehicle but I can't find a website that has trip planner for trains.

Do they have long distance passenger trains from west coast to east coast in the US?

And where can I look for their information? (website, phone number....)

Thank you for any help!|||Well, I was always told that stuff is replaceable... So...you can get on craigslist and sell items get some money to buy new items in NJ. I did that when I moved over 3 hours away.

How do you pay for the transfer fare from Foothill Transit to Metrolink?

The Metrolink website is confusing me with its strange words (for example, I did not know what a Park %26amp; Ride lot was). Anyway, I need to transfer from a Foothill line to a Metrolink line. What is the transfer fare and how do I pay for it?

The trip planner says that the transfer is 50 cents, but the Metrolink fares guide says that it's 35 cents. And the Foothill site says that I have to pay an additional fee for the line I'm taking! Also, I don't have a TAP card.|||Foothill Transit sells Interagency Transfers for .50 when you pay your $1 fare on a local route. Your transfer will be good for 2 hours so you could make your transfer to another bus. You could only make the transfer to Metro where it meets Foothill Transit.

You could buy your TAP card online or at a Check Cashing place. I think Ralphs also sells them.|||if you mean metrolink (commuter train)

metrolink doesn't accept transfer from transit agencies like foothill buses

you have to buy a ticket from the ticket vending machine

now you might be mixing up metrolink (the commuter rail service ) with

metro (the bus service)

if you mean the bus each transit agency has different transfer fees

yes foothill charges 50cent to transfer to metro (NOT METROLINK) '

but metro does only charge 35 cent to transfer to foothill transit

Will I have to pay extra?|||Yeah, it is for real. The driver will let you stay on that long. Bus drivers only kick their passengers off the bus when they reach the very last stop of the route.

It won't cost you any extra money at all. Once you're on the bus, you're on, no questions asked. If you get off the bus at the wrong stop, you'll have to pay again to get back on, though.

52 minutes isn't that bad, my friend rode a city bus for 2 and a half hours. The ride should go by pretty fast, it's that 5 mile walk you should worry about. Make sure you don't fall asleep on the bus, missing your stop really stinks.|||In my city they will let you stay on for that long but if you call the bus company I am sure they will be more than happy to help you.

Would you find having someone organising your holiday easier?

I've been giving this some thought recently as I've been running around planning my trip for in coming months. The thought crossed my mind that if i was to open my own business that handled bookings for all types of people - budget or expensive, would you consider using it? I guess what I'm getting at is that it would be nice if I could have just given my entire plans to someone and they could have made the bookings for me flights, hotels, tours, coaches, transfers and I would have been happy to pay them a flat fee. Would you do the same?

I know that travel agents do such a thing but I refrain from dealing with them as their commissions are generally +10% on top of your total costs and you dont get a very personal service at some. Driving from BOSTON ma to HOLLYWOOD ca?

Tons of questions! AHH I need all the help I can get!!!

So, Its May 8th now.. and I need to be moved into my place in north hollywood by JUNE FIRST!

Im leaving most of my stuff back here in Boston however I will be driving because I wanna bring my car and would rather just drive it personally. Anyway its going to be me in my dog in a 2006 Nissan altima

Some questions.

#1 I want to do this in the fastest way possible? How long do you think I can take, the GPS says 48 hours and I know its going to have to be a little longer, but how can I make this the easiest, fastest trip across country.

#2 Im really confused about the gas, most people are telling me its going to be anywhere from $600 to $900 on gas, but when i do the AAA TRIP planner it says 3,001 miles, and $323 in gas.

#3 Is there anything I should defiantly know or prepare for when driving across country. (just an example i think in most states you need an actual insurance card like car insurance card, where as here in mass they dont go by cards we the RMV is linked with the cops systems.) what should i be aware of, look out for, avoid, etc?

ANY OTHER ADVICE ETC WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!|||Your best bet is to drop down to the Penn Turnpike via I-95 and then west to I-70 to Utah and south on I-15 to LA. If summer time, book your motels in advance, especially out west. They can get expensive close to the Freeway. You could also do I-80 west to I-15. You will need proof of insurance, registration, and a dr lic.|||Without knowing the mpg of your car the fuel cost is impossible to calculate. You should figure at least $3/gallon average.

Does Yahoo have a Travel chat forum?

When I click on yahoo travel I get the page I'm sure we all get with the specials plus the airfairs, rentals, travel guide %26amp; hotels. I went to click on what I thought was the chat or general chat travel forum and all I see is about 4 posts talking about the travel trip planner. I have been to where others rate hotels and talk about if the stay was nice and also the views of others trip plans etc.. Is that it? Boy I feel silly can someone help?|||Yahoo! actually has a Chat program you can download, and some of the forums regards travel. I know about it because me and my wife met there! I am not sure if that is what you mean or not, but you can find it by clicking on Yahoo! Chat, rather than on Yahoo! Travel. I am not exactly sure if that is what you are looking for or not, though.

Can you get a year schedule for Army Reserve drill?

My bf and I have been together 3 years and 2 years long distance. We try to see each other every 2-3 months. Sometimes he knows his schedule ahead of time and sometimes he doesn't which is frustrating because then I don't know how to schedule our trips to see each other (he's not a good planner so I do it).

Is it likely he can get a list or do the dates change often? Can he just ask his SGT....I mean they usually know right?|||Normally yes they will have a drill schedule for the year. Commuting from Toronto to Mississauga?

I need to commute from downtown Toronto to Mississauga (specifically, Maritz Dr) over the summer. As I am a student and I don't have a car. I was wondering what the cheapest, or fastest means of public transportation would be.

I tried planning some routes using the GO Transit online planner, and it showed up as a 2 hour trip, with around 40 minutes of walking! There are routes that run often going down both Hurontario (parallel to Maritz) and down Derry Rd. Look it up on their website, there's an online trip planner. There are two stations quite close to your hotel, Queen on the Yonge line and then the university line is handy as well. Ask the concierge at the hotel to guide you but they're generally easy to find from street level. The pass is good for the whole system (bus and trains) as far as I know.

You are actually pretty close to Spadina and if it's a nice day you might consider walking over from the Sheraton.

Best way in Chicago from Lasalle St. Station to Skokie?

I'm not sure quite sure how to plan a trip to Skokie next week. I tried the "Trip planner" on the CTA's website, but it keeps giving me an error message. I know how to get from where I am to either Union Station or Lasalle St. Station in Chicago by Metra. What's the best way to get from one of these, preferably LaSalle, to Skokie?|||Skokie is a fairly large place so it depends on where you want to go.

To get to central/eastern parts of Skokie, you can take the Red Line on the EL to Howard Street and then the Skokie Swift.

Or take the Purple Line from Howard Street to Davis Street in Evanston and take a bus from there.

For destinations further west, it might be best to take the Brown Line to Kimball or the Blue Line to Jefferson Park and a bus from there.

I'm planning to get married in hawaii can someone how has experience help?

There is so much stuff on the internet... so many websites with info - I've became a little confused.

Here are the main details

Its just going to be my fiancee and I. No one else do I plan on bringing with me. We have 5-7k to spend on the trip and the marriage.

Can someone tell me what wedding planner they used, what island are best for getting married, what is the best hotels etc any details would help... I'm a little confused.

Thanks! so much!|||My hubby and I got married on Oahu just outside of Honolulu. We went thru the wedding planners at http://www.wedaloha.com. It was just the two of us as well, but it was amazing. The wedding planners walked us thru everything. And the photos were fantastic! We also rented a vacation condo instead of staying at one of the hotels in Waikiki. Made for more privacy on the honeymoon! And it saved money on always eating out (though we did that several times too, but at least it wasn't every meal). Our budget was about the same, and we had a great time. Don't plan too much ahead of time (aside from the wedding of course), just go and have a great time, and do whatever you feel like at the time.|||Maui is a great island to get married in.

That's all I have as advice for you, sorry!|||The Kahala is very popular for weddings. It's right on the beach with a view of Diamond Head. I would try to book directly with the hotel and see what kind of price you get. They also have a reception area, but I'm sure it's expensive.

If I had to choose, I would do the ceremony there, go to La Mer at Halekulani for dinner, then travel to the best restaurants around the islands. Spend 2-3 days on Oahu, the same on Kauai and Maui, if you have time.

Email if I can help.

How do you take a Road Trip?

I'm a 17 year old girl, and I would like to take a road trip across Canada (I live in Canada, Toronto, but I want to see more of my beautiful country)

I don't plan to take it anytime soon, because I'm a bit young and very busy with school. But when I'm 19 or 20, I'd like to go with a couple close friends.

I am a planner, so I'd like to start planning it. Im very safe though, so Im also looking for tips to keep t safe. I dont want to get kidnapped and murdered! Haha.

So, how can I plan a good road trip? And how can I stay safe?|||You don't need to do much planning.

1. Start with the amount of time you have available.

2. Don't plan on driving more than 500km a day if you want to be doing sightseeing.

3. Open up a mapping program and plan out your trip, knowing the number of days you have available and the distance you can go.

4. Before you make the trip, get your car's oil changed at a place that also does auto inspections. They will tell you if you need repairs.

Things to bring:

A good sized cooler to hold your lunch and snacks, so that you're not spending all your money on greasy restaurant food.

A music collection (CDs, MP3 player, whatever)

Camera

Comfortable clothes. If it's a longer trip, bring no more than 4 days' worth and do laundry on the way.

To stay safe:

Don't carry much cash

Stay with friends

Don't leave anything valuable in the car overnight. If your car is parked during the day, make sure that nothing valuable is visible to anyone who looks in the window.

My dad repeats things WAY too much; trip plans to stories, he will say the same thing over and over...why?

He is 78 years old. I think their is something wrong with him, I'm not sure, but on a recent trip he was taking he LITERALLY told me about 6 seperate times that he was going on the trip. How do I find a Maryland wedding planner that can plan a Caribbean destination wedding on a budget?

I recently got engaged and I would like to have a wedding planner help me plan my destination wedding in Trinidad for a guest list of about 200-250 with approxiamtely $20,000(US) to work with, which translates to $120,000(TT). I'm based in the DC/MD metroplotian area and I want to get married July 4 of 2009. I know that this is not going to be easy but I want to give myself and my family a day to remember. The budget is small because we are trying to do it ourselves with our going into debt so that's all we can afford. I'm hoping to find a planner that wont cost me more than the cost of my wedding. Everyone that I've contacted is very pricey and they want me to cover the cost of them and their help and they want to make more than one trip down there. So is there anyone out there that can help me or am I just gonna have to attempt the impossible by myself?|||Work with a planner in Trinidad! If you're looking at a specific resort, they probably already have a planner or can refer you to one. A local is going to be much more able to help you secure the best deals with the most reliable vendors. |||You asked this yesterday. Same answer

You'll need one located at the destination- in Trinidad

Magellan 3250 GPS. Multiple destinations?

I need to plan a a trip in trip planner with multiple locations. I've entered the addresses. How do I get the gps unit to tell me a route including all of the addresses ?. It's only letting me do 1 at a time and in a unorganized order..|||I"m not sure - we had a magellan and ended up returning it and getting a garmin - the magellan could never understand our voice commands and was hard to use - I'd suggest you do the same (or try looking at the help section of the magellan website).

Take the North rail to the Sandy Springs station. From there it is a little over a 1/4 mile walk.

Here are directions from Yahoo Maps.

Start at 199 MOUNT VERNON CIR, SANDY SPRINGS going toward PEACHTREE-DUNWOODY RD NE - go 0.2 mi

Turn Right on PEACHTREE-DUNWOODY RD NE - go 0.1 mi

Arrive at 6600 PEACHTREE-DUNWOODY RD NE, ATLANTA, on the Left|||The marta site is atrocious, not surprised the trip planner doesn't work.

Use this one: http://trip.atltransit.com

It worked for me, suggesting a short walk from the Sandy Springs station.

Has anyone driven to phoenix, az frm the bay area,CA without going thru the grapevine? what route&how was it?

We are driving and towing a big trailer, and our van has high mileage and we dont want to overdo it. i know that there are other routes, and i am trying to find out the easiest one for my car. i'm not worried about length of time or shortest distance, just minimal hazardous driving. if you know of any, also a really great interactive trip planner website would be helpful. THANKS!|||You can cut out the Grapevine by going to Bakersfield and taking Rte 58 East to Barstow and picking up the US15 south to pick up US10 East in Redlands.

It might be faster to take 58 east to Mojave, CA, then Hwy14 south to Palmdale and Rte138 east to hit US15 at the Cajon Pass, but I think138 is pretty twisty with a trailer.|||Go to Bakersfield and cut across on hwy 40 through Lancaster on to Bullhead City then drop down to Phoenix on what every that highway is or go on to Flagstaff and take hwy 17.

The best way would be to go to Triple A or call them they map stuff out all the time for people.

You can go to mapquest and check it out there.|||You could try taking Hwy. 58 from Bakersfield to Barstow which would bypass Los Angeles and the Grapevine, but it still passes through mountainous area. Then you could drive to Phoenix by going south on I-15 to the Inland Empire and east on I-10. Or if you want to bypass that area go east on I-40 and exit on one of the desert roads (ex. US Hwy 95 at Needles), then head east once you reach I-10.

Would a straight couple feel awkward spending the night at Fire Island Pines?

Me and my boyfriend are a young couple (both 20) who want to spend a relaxing weekend on Fire Island. (We live on Long Island). Since this is so last minute, obviously everything is booked. But I did manage to find a place that seemed really nice on Fire Island Pines, a small gay community. Now usually when I plan trips, I make mistakes (I'm know as a bad planner). I really want this trip to not have any problems. Obviously gay couples do not make me uncomfortable. I just wonder if it would be awkward for me and boyfriends first overnight stay in Fire Island. Does anyone know if there are a bunch of straight couples that stay at The Pines and they do not feel out of place? |||Lots of straight couples with your attitude enjoy the Fire Island resorts.

You will no doubt meet some gay couples with reciprocal attitudes towards straights as you are obviously not in competition with them nor are they with you. Enjoy the genial atmosphere and possible new friendships, you're on vacation, not a M8 hunting safari.

Is there Amtrak service to Rockford, IL?

For a previous question, someone informed me that the Amtrak station on Walton Street in Rockford, IL is abandoned. But the Amtrak website trip planner shows this station as a destination - complete with specific arrival times and fares. Why is Amtrak listing this information if it is inaccurate. I know Amtrak has issues - but come on!|||Well, if the information that someone gave you about that station and the information that the website gives is being contradicting then the best suggestion that I can give you is to contact Amtrak and speak to someone who works for them. Maybe they can get to the bottom of it.

Amtrak Thruway Motorcoach service connects with the Texas Eagle at Chicago. Service is provided by Van Galder Bus Lines.

So, you may have to get aboard the bus and ride to Chicago to get on the train (although they are working on establishing train connections there again according to other sources, due to be finished sometime in 2006), but yes indeed it is a scheduled stop.

School Choir Trip to Disney World (A FEW QUESTIONS) ?

My school's choir, band, and orchrestra are all going to Disney World next year, Spring Break. I know it is a long ways away, but I am a huge planner. I am pretty sure that the trip is 7 days, two or three of the days will be spent driving. On each of the 7 days, I will need to purchase lunch and dinner. On 2 out of the 7 days, I will also need breakfast. Plus, I will need to purchase snacks and beverages. How much, about, should I bring for food? Also, how much should I bring for souveniers and what not? We will be going to Dowtown Disney and all of the theme parks. I have never been to Disney without my parents, so I do not know how much to bring. Please Help!

1. How much money for food?

2. How much money for souveneirs?|||I'd say about $30 a day for food. Bring some of your own snacks.

As for souveniers, how much do you think you will buy? Things in the park are expensive and Disney has gifts that are all over the board. You can buy a crystal replica of the castle (for about $150) or a pair of ears for $10, a towel for $25. I would probably budget $200 for souvenirs personally. That way you can get at least a shirt, some ears, and a couple little things.

Roughly $450 total|||check out web site below for all Disney menus and the prices.|||If your parents are very generous there is a plan that's about i think 50- 60 $ a day and during the day you can go to any restaurant that is like $100 a meal and each day you get a Breakfast, A lunch, An Dinner and a Snack ( Each comes with an entree, a side and a drink for the snack and for dinner you can order what ever you want!).

Souvenirs can get pricey but if you want nice ones you can get lots for about $300 lol.|||Once it's closer to the field trip time, they will probably tell you how much to bring for food.

Panama City Beach Seafood Resturant not a tourist place?

We are coming down to PC later this week. We are looking for a great seafood resturant that is not a tourist trap. We also would like it to family friendly since we are coming down with 8 kids.......2 years old and up. If you know of a place I would really appreciate it! Love good food, do not like tourist junk. I know that PC is usally not the place to go if you dislike crowds but I was not the planner of the trip, but I do get to choose the resturants! So help me out please.|||The "Treasure Ship" is a good restaurant. It is a huge restaurant built to look like a treasure ship. It overlooks the bay so if you go early you can watch the fishing boats come in. There are people dressed up as pirates that walk around and talk to the kids. They have good seafood as well.

www.thetreasureship.com

Another good restaurant is Pompano's. There food is great and they have the best key lime pie.

Pineapple Willy's is a good place to have lunch. It is a restaurant on a pier so you sit over the beach.

www.pineapplewillys.com

These are all popular tourist restaurants but they are typically not that busy in May.|||It's actually not busy this week so don't worry about that. All the spring breakers have gone home and it's mostly locals out there.

There's bishops buffet and captains table are both really good for seafood.

EDIT: The kids will like Treasure ship. Pompano's is expensive and I wouldn't take kids and pay that price. Pinnaple willy's is ok but it's nothing out of the norm except you eat on the deck out by the water.

Does anybody know how I could verify the validity of an ePrize/Yahoo Trips/Mastercard sweepstakes winning?

I received an email notification from fulfillment@eprize.com this afternoon and the email stated that I won free airfare from joining a sweepstakes at Yahoo! trip planner in 2006. I do remember joing that sweepstakes but what got me skeptical is the affidavit attached to the email. It was asking for confidential information such as social security number, home address, birth date and phone number. It would be real cool if it was true, but how would I be able to verify? The email did not include any phone numbers of Yahoo! or the Mastercard (prize sponsor). What is a good way to travel one way from Austin, TX to Valdosta, GA without a car. See...?

...details....

Are there any trip planners for Gray Hound, Amtrak, or a regional air carrier? Cost is an issue, but safety and comfort are too.|||It's really easy to find Austin to Valdosta options on a single carrier; e.g., Greyhound. It's just under 1,000 miles, so this is a very long bus ride for as low as $77.

But, you may find this more attractive. Fly Southwest Airlines from Austin to Jacksonville for as low as $106 and then hop on a 2-hr Greyhound bus to Valdosta for as low as $15.50. Obviously, this will be contingent on your being able to synchronize your flight with your bus without overnighting.

As you know, pricing depends on when you travel and on how far in advance you book.|||You can take Amtrak from Austin, the Texas Eagle down to San Antonio then the Sunset Limited east to New Orleans, but since Katrina, you can't go further east on Amtrak http://www.texaseagle.com/schedules.htm shows connecting schedules on left.

Southwest Airlines may be a choice.

Greyhound (not Gray Hound) has limited service South of Dallas and I don't know what they do these days going east from Austin.|||I would say any sort of bus company would be the best as they are cheaper than train or flights. If you want to be a real hero, just carry a personal tent in a hiking backpack and just trek out by foot it only takes about 12 days or so.

It was a wonderful wedding and the staff went above and beyond to be sure her day was special. It was stress free, romantic, and exactly perfect for us. It definitely saved us lots of money too. I would go with the trip planner

Is there some kind of bike route planner like map quest?

I'm planing on taking my bike on a long trip and I need some way to plan it. really hoping I can get some help on this.|||gmap-pedometer.com is good for basic mileage stuff, but it's based on an older version of Google maps, so some of the streets aren't up-to-date.

mapmyride.com is a favorite, and it's geared directly to cyclists with elevation maps and workout calculators.|||My favorite option is http://www.ridedog.com. It's like mapmyride, but without all the annoying ads and pressure to sign up for a premium account.

|||Another great site is http://ridewithgps.com - perfect for planning a ride. If you have a GPS unit, you can also send the ride to the unit, as well as view the recorded track from the GPS unit. However, GPS is not required, or even necessary.

I need to know how I can get from Victorville to Cal State San Bernardino by bus, train or both?

I don't care how many buses or trains I have to take, I need to be there by noon. I tried looking on some of the trip planners but they say they are under maintenance and can't be used now.|||well are you going be a student there?

as you might want to see if the college might have some carpool or van pools set up

unfortunelly there used to

a commuter bus service to San Bernardino (but it stopped back in 2005) (not enough riders I think) or the funding stop

so thats not going to help you

Greyhound and Amtrak both do stop in victorville

but very early (Amtrak departs at 4;25am and greyhound

at 5:25am so that would get to to San Bernardino

a little too early!

so my best suggest is look into carpool or van pool

services

(I did check CUSB website and they do have some ridesharing serviices)

good luck|||Oops, it's past noon now, sorry..
